CORE VALUES
Hosting His Presence.
Here at Life Gate we are excited about hosting the presence of God and therefore, purposefully cultivate an atmosphere that is conducive to Him revealing himself, so that everyone may come to know and experience the living, loving, Holy God that desires to live, dwell, and make His home in all of us. We believe that hosting His presence is a lifestyle, not an event, and that it is the greatest honor of every believer to carry His presence, the fullness of all that He is, into every area of life and sphere of influence, releasing His peace, joy, life, healing and love. (Isaiah 61)..............read more at Core Values continued........... |
Blessing family and generations.
Life Gate values the family, from conception to coronation, and we consider it a great privilege to support and bless the generations. We feel strongly that it is our position and calling to bless our children and all children, the institution of the family, God’s design for marriage between a man and a woman, the sanctity of life, and the process of teaching and training the generations. Psalm 78:4-7 – “ . . . we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done. He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so that the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.”.............read more at Core Values continued........... |
A culture of honor.
The presence of God creates increasing levels of joy, freedom and peace. These qualities are directly affected by the degree to which we honor God and relate to those around us. Honor allows love to be our guiding force, and is based upon the intrinsic value of every individual, created in the image of God, to show forth His glory by re-presenting Him through their unique gifts, calling, abilities, roles and assignments from Him. A culture of honor empowers every member of business, church structure, personal relationships, and family; it also presents a refreshing view of five-fold ministry. As we value and empower those around us, we prepare the way for "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven" to come to pass...............read more at Core Values continued................ |

It is in this spirit of authentic community that we value worshipping and serving together, along with other Kingdom ministries and believers, to see God’s purposes and plans accomplished for individuals, families, cities and nations.............read more at Core Values continued................ |
Authority as believers.
The truth of God and His word are awesome. At Life Gate we praise Him for the power of the truth and how it sets us free (John 8:32). On the other hand, the only power that Satan has is the power of deception, and the worst thing about deception is that you don't know you're being deceived. Otherwise, it wouldn't be deception. Once the truth is received, deception loses all its power. Therefore, Satan loses all his power when we know the truth. Many people don't know the truth about Satan's defeat. In fact, many Christians are the very instrument the devil is using to foster the deception that he is still a powerful foe. "Spiritual warfare" is one of the hottest topics in the church today. People are expending great amounts of energy constantly battling the devil in ways contrary to Scripture, but in reality, Satan has already been defeated. We don't need to defeat him again. We need to believe that Satan has already been completely destroyed (Heb. 2:14) and simply enforce his defeat. The only power he has is the power to deceive. Our battle should be against the wiles (trickery) of the devil (Eph. 6:11), not the devil himself. Any other approach is actually giving the devil authority and power which he doesn't have, and he uses that to intimidate us. The only weapon Satan has is the power we give him when we believe his lies. Warfare only takes place between two undefeated foes. Once an enemy has been conquered, the war is over. Satan is a defeated foe. Colossians 2:15 says, "And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it." The archaic meaning of the word "spoiled" here is "to plunder; despoil" (American Heritage Dictionary). This means that after Jesus defeated Satan, He stripped him of everything he had, specifically the keys of death and hell (Rev. 1:18). Satan has no power to imprison anyone...................read more at Core Values continued................ |
